About Me

My name is Dominic Miranda and I’ve been a Sports TV Anchor/Reporter for the past 7+ years. Thanks so much for visiting my website!

From waking up every morning before school to watch SportsCenter, to playing college football, to covering some of the biggest events in America– I knew early on what I wanted to do with my life, and I can’t imagine doing anything else for a career.

I am originally from Nappanee, Indiana—a small city about 30 minutes south of South Bend—where I was immersed in the diehard culture that is Notre Dame fandom. The middle of three boys, I have always had a passion for sports and sports broadcasting.

I attended DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana and graduated in 2019. Home of the Tigers and to the longest standing football rivalry in college sports (The Monon Bell Classic between DePauw and Wabash), this was where I honed my skills in sports broadcasting. I played football for three years at DePauw, however, two concussions and one torn ACL later, I was able to do much more in front of the camera than on the field. During my college days, I interned for ESPN 1070AM The Fan in Indianapolis, so I’m certainly familiar with the Circle City. I also secured a semester-long internship with CNN Sports at the CNN Headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. There I was able to shadow sports television personalities such as Andy Scholes and former Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward. It was there that my passion and love for being a TV Sports Anchor was born.

For the past three years, I have been a Sports Anchor at WTHR - NBC Indianapolis. Here, I have had enough experiences to fill an entire career – let alone just three years on the job! I have had the good fortune of covering two College Football Playoff National Championships, the Rose Bowl, Peach Bowl, Sugar Bowl, Orange Bowl, NCAA Tournament Final Four / National Championship, NBA Finals, U.S. Olympic Swim Trials, Indianapolis 500, two WNBA All-Star Weekends, NBA All-Star Weekend, WNBA Playoffs, NFL Combine, and the NFL Draft. I have been lucky enough to appear on the Today Show’s Friday Morning Lights segment twice, appear on Peacock as a part of our Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade coverage, and appear on national broadcasts as the Indiana Fever’s sideline reporter. As a part of our duties, we primarily cover the Colts, Pacers, Fever, IU, Purdue, and Indianapolis 500 / IndyCar. As you can see, I’ve been kept quite busy during my time in Indianapolis. Working in the capital city in my home state has been a dream come true, and I truly have valued my time at WTHR.

Before making my way back home to Indiana, I was the Weekend Sports Anchor for WCTV in Tallahassee, Florida from June 2021 through March 2023. While in the Sunshine State, I covered Florida State, the ACC, Florida A&M, Valdosta State, and the 50+ high schools that the Big Bend and South Georgia had to offer.

I also spent time in Terre Haute, Indiana before making the move to Florida as a News and Sports MMJ/Anchor for WTHI News 10 from 2019 to 2021. I reported on the 2020 election, the brief return of federal executions, and extensively on the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, I covered Indiana State University Athletics, highlighted the stories of athletes all across the Wabash Valley, and acted as the lead reporter for WTHI's "In the Zone" and "In the Paint" high school football and basketball shows.

I have loved every stop of my journey to where I am today. I love what I do and I hope to do it for a very long time. Please enjoy my website and do not hesitate to reach out. My contact information is on the Contact page!
